Home meets: Cedar
Creek warms up first, at 5:30
Away meets: Cedar
Creek warms up second, at 6:00

First Shift: Be prepared for a 6:30 – approximately
8:00/8:30 shift (event 38)
Second Shift: Be prepared any time after 8:00 until
the end of the meet (11:00ish)

Please see the electronic form (stingray away form)
available on the web sight for any anticipated missed meets. A notice of 5 days
is best so we do not enter your child into a meet they cannot attend. If we do
not have ample notice, another child may miss an opportunity to swim where your
child had been scheduled. In addition, be prepared to tell us what parent
volunteer you have invited to do your assigned job should you have one for that
particular meet. Please do not leave us to find your replacement at the last
minute! .

Go to all meets, even in inclement weather! Often meets are
simply delayed rather than canceled! Please stay in an area (ex: your car)
where you can be advised on what to do. Do not assume a meet is cancelled and
leave.

Often we do a “fun swim” where all swimmers receive their
earned ribbons following a swim meet. This may not happen after every meet this
season as we have more meets scheduled for one month than normal. Please listen
to Coach Dave’s advice during the swim meet.

Feel free to check the Gwinnett County Swim League web
sight for a listing of the top swimmers in each event. This is updated following
each meet. Remember, the top 50 swimmers available for the county meet will be
accepted. If you still have a doubt, ask a coach towards the latter part of the
season!

Participation in at least 3 meets is required to earn the
reward.

Yes indeed! Our coaches are fully aware of obligations
during the summer. You do not need to report if you are going to miss an
occasional practice. We do ask that you tell Coach Dave if you are going to be
out an extensive time and, if your availability for an upcoming meet.

Please refrain from discussion until transition times
between practices. We do plan on placing a “coaches’ box” at the pool where you
could drop a note inside and allow the coaches to address your question during
non-peak instructional times. Look for this box once the schedule has switched
to morning practices.

Do coaches
give private lessons?
Yes, some do for a fee. Please ask the coaches for their
interest and availability. Please see the Private Lessons Link on the Home
Page of the Website.

Once your child is proficient in swimming, you may feel
comfortable leaving to take a walk or run an errand. It is up to you.

Is there
practice in the rain?
Yes, provided it is not thundering and lightning.

Can my younger child play in the baby pool?
No. Please keep all children who are not involved in the
practice out of the pool. This will maximize safety and minimize distraction.
